The Fortress of Sighisoara - located at 51 Km SE away Targu-Mures Airport, on the banks of Tarnava Mare River, the Fortress of Sighisoara was built on 1191, but it was first time documentary notified in 1280 under the name of Castrum Rex. The Fortress of Sighisoara was built as an fortification point by the German colonists who came from Flandra and Saxony in order to project the eastern borders of the German Empire. Sighisoara is the only fortress in the world where people continued to live constantly. The Clock Tower with human figurines continues to strike every hour from centuries. Sovata Spa - is located at 500 meters altitude at a distance of only 61 km NE away from Targu-Mures airport. The area is well-know for its high concentration of oxygen, the immense amounts of salt discovered underground, phenomenon which gave birth to several salty lakes. One of the largest salt lake of Sovata Spa is called The Bear Lake having a unique helioterm phenomenon, its physical properties combined with natural cures offered here leading to incredible healings of illnesses like gynecological, pulmonary and heart one’s. Targu-Mures city - Firstly mentioned in documents in 1332 under the name of Novum Forum Siculorum the city of Targu-Mures, located in the heart of Transylvania, had an existence marked by the events of history combined and link to the Romanian, Hungarian and German nationalities. Established initially as a market place where from time to time the merchants met for business, the city became in time a permanent settlement which developed respecting all the rules of European town. The various cultural institutions, churches, museums, memorial-houses, libraries, culture settlements are all famous and mean attraction points for any tourist.
